Book Jacket Trio

Objective – Design 3 books jackets for a 3 part book series of any author.

Concept – Jarod K Anderson’s is a writer and biologist whose poetry books are centered around spending time in nature and relating its similarities to the highs and lows of the human experience. Conceptually the books covers are meant to combine the scientific aspect of studying the environment while being introspective and spiritual.

Theme – The books covers use collage to resemble a scientists notebook/field guide with notes and specimens taped all around. Cyanotype leaves the ghost of an image, in this case plants, to resemble to deep philosophic contents of the books themselves.

Materials – Collage (cyanotype, tape, paper) and all hand written type.
